Gratitude Journalling

The simple act of expressing gratitude can improve feelings of well-being and resilience against stress.

By practicing the art of writing about the aspects of life that we are grateful for, we can ground ourselves in the face of daily challenges and frustrations that often distract us from the small and often unnoticed blessings of day-to-day life.

Try writing at least one thing per day for 7 consecutive days, and remember to include experiences that you have found difficult. This will help build resilience against stress and coping mechanisms in the face of life’s inevitable challenges.

In a world where many of us are constantly striving for better, and using comparisons to gauge our own happiness, the simple act of gratitude helps us take stock of what we have as opposed to what we are short of.

The attached document provides a number of tips to help guide your journalling practice.
