Developing and maintaining healthy behaviours and routines has never been more important! Recent times have been a harsh reminder of how our modern lifestyles are eroding our health, happiness, and resistance to disease. Our lifestyles have changed more in the last 50 years, than we have in the last 2 million years! This mismatch between our modern lifestyles and our evolutionary needs, is fuelling the greatest disease burdens of our time.
We now live in a world where we are bombarded with processed food, we are chronically stressed, physically inactive, and deficient in many of our most fundamental human needs. Many of us are doing our best to adapt to our rapidly changing lives, but we are straying further away from the evolutionary principles that have helped us thrive for millions of years. As a Primary Healthcare and Exercise Professional I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of health and performance challenges, from cardiac rehabilitation patients right through to professional athletes. During this time I have been fascinated with the characteristics and habits of people who transform their health after suffering from significant injury and disease.
During my extensive clinical experience I have both studied and applied these attributes to develop a healthcare approach that doesn’t just focus on resolving pain and injury, but also on empowering people with the skills to naturally remove the root cause of their health issues.
